Major Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Insolvency Administrator to join their team in Edinburgh.

The Role

As an Insolvency Administrator, you will assist managers in administering a portfolio of primarily corporate insolvency cases, with potential exposure to personal insolvency matters. You will also take responsibility for managing your own portfolio of smaller cases.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Realisation of assets including book debts, property and cash at bank

• Dealing with creditor claims and responding to queries

• Liaising with banks to obtain balances and statements

• Assisting with employee-related matters, including preparing initial letters, processing claims, and liaising with employees, the RPS and pension schemes

• Submitting statutory returns, including HMRC documentation

• Handling telephone and email enquiries from stakeholders

• Providing general administrative support to the insolvency team

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• 2–3 years’ experience within an insolvency team

• Strong organisational and administrative skills

• The ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines

• A proactive approach and commitment to delivering a high standard of service

• Good IT skills, including MS Office and document management systems

• Experience with IPS Cloud (desirable but not essential – training will be provided)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• The ability to prioritise workload effectively in a busy environment
